This flue is ‘brand new’ it is clean and appears unused!
The camera is sent up the flue using chimney rods, a brush is set behind the camera to allow it to stay central in the flue. The infra-red lights automatically have come on to allow the picture to be seen in darkness. The lights compensate for any ‘glare’ or reflection back off the surface by dimming down on their own.
As the camera advances a ‘join’ appears in the liner, along with what look like screw ingression! At the end of the pipe a solid block of slate wall appears blocking the end of the flue. This liner was condemned and further investigation continued after showing the client this video!
